The dead have arisen, why is Virendra Sharma campaigning about OAP TV licences?

In the wake of massive cuts in many areas of Ealing Council's services for the elderly about which Ealing MP Virendra Sharma has had nothing to say, why has he been reanimated and emerged from the crypt to campaign against cuts to free TV licences for the elderly? When I 'consider the under funding foisted on councils by the government.', I remember why the blessed Margaret brought in rate capping - the massive rates rises from councils like Ealing's loony left after 1986.

He's an MP working in parliament on national issues, one of which is the TV licence.Local council spending isn't a national issue (unless you consider the under funding foisted on councils by the government).
