Why?

TFL have made Greenford station step free with a lift, and Ealing Broadway station is soon to be step free. While i applaud their forward thinking on accessibility for all, why does the Greenford to West Ealing shuttle now stop one stop short of the most important multi line station in west London? I can think of a thousand and one reasons why it needed to continue to Ealing Broadway and beyond, but i'm having trouble trying to understand a valid reason for not running that extra stop. What valid? reason is there?

Greenford not Greenfield. Annoying spellcheck

Supposedly when crossrail starts Greenfield to west Ealing will be every 15 minutes and there will be step free access there as well. But with the construction delays due to budget issues I wonder whether all the promises will be fulfilled

I suspect that it would have disrupted the extra through services being provided by Crossrail. Particularly the return journey to Greenford where the old service crossed the East Bound line.
