Zebra Crossing

Now the council has ball*ed up another road with unnecessary CPZ - Kent Ave.(even though nearly every house has off street parking) all the cars park along Scotch Common & make a botleneck on a major bus route. Well done BELL/Mahfouz.It is also a busy crossing between Cleveland & Scotch common parks, along with mums & children going to North Ealing school or the Kent pub creche.There is a traffic island fantastically placed so a tree obstructs your view of traffic, even worse when the bottom leaves grow out of control due to the cuts.Can we have a zebra crossing as aboyt 5 are now down the Ruislip Rd.Dp any MPs read any topics on here??I know there is no election so you wont want to know, but soon 1 will be snivelling for votes to grab expenses by the bucket, surely

Between Greenford Road and Argyle there are soon to be ten pedestrian crossings, eight zebra, two lights on Ruislip Road. At seven this morning I drove through without once having to stop. Nor did I see a single cyclist.

Peter, if you write to your local councillors that's the way to do it.I recommend you don't include any rants.You could also set up a petition on the ealing council petition site.http://ealing.cmis.uk.com/ealing/ePetitions.aspxAnd for the record I do like cars, I enjoy driving them, but there are too many of them and too many of them are driven badly, and they have far too much of a negative impact on our daily lives for those who walk, cycle or take the bus, and those who drive as well.

But he has a valid point about cars parked along Scotch Common (the road) causing problems for both traffic and pedestrians trying to cross.

I had to read this post three times over to get some sort of understanding about what it's ranting about.If you write letters to the council like this no wonder they don't get read!
