Destruction of trees in East Acton Lane
As if Acton did not have enough crazy high rise developments - The Homebase site will now be two storeys higher than the planners originally agreed. Furthermore, at the consultation held in St Dunstan's Church earlier this year I was assured that the beautiful flowering cherry trees lining the boundary along East Acton Lane would be preserved. Today I walked past and they have all been felled.Together with the fact that Barratt London summarily decided to increase the height and capacity of the development I am utterly appalled at their duplicitous and destructive policies. They appear to have no interest whatsoever in the quality of life of residents of East Acton. I tried to contact the Production Manager Mr Phil Robinson to no avail.Kathleen Chapple
