Rupa Huq on Any Questions Tonight

Think this might be entertaining. I like her as an MP but she can sometimes make some ill-considered comments. It will be very interesting to see if she can contain herself when talking about Boris Johnson.

Well I felt that he was a good Mayor all those years ago but now I'm never sure what he stands for or takes seriously.Where was he for the 3rd Runway vote? After all the promises he made about that!I can only go on what has actually happened in his recent political performance.

By the way foolish Boris fans - where was he when the 3rd runway vote was going through? In my opinion he has abused the popularity he achieved by being a good mayor of London. Chasing the 'big prize' and betraying fellow party members has in the process cost the country dearly.So beware backing Boris on any actual issues, again in my opinion he seems inconsistent and rather ineffective when put to the test.

I thought Rupa did very well on Q Time - her take on Boris was spot on - he was playing to the crowds rather than making a serious point and of course he did it so that everything would kick off in exactly the way that it has. The politics of chaos just like Trump. Aside from his own judgement you would have to be a bit sceptical re how it got through the Telegraph editorial dept!I'm not a fan of burkas particularly but less of a fan of chaos politics. I doubt Boris could care less either way but did his aim of drawing attention to himself so job done!

totally agree with you if you go to some countries a woman is not aloud to wear a swimsuit so why do we let them do as they like in this country we are to soft you would not get away with it in there countries would you

Dont feel its a big issue, simple fact which a lot of people agree with but are not allowed to.Lord Sheikh, whatever his name is,said the comments were unsavoury at a moment of high tension.Why are we at high tension, what right has anyone to despise our country if they live & are part of it.

So it's allright to compare Muslim women with bank robbers? That's what Mr Johnson said, either 'as a joke' or intentionally to stir up trouble. Either way, the Tory party needs to deal with such comments from one of its MPs. This is nothing to do with 'having a debate'.
