Roadworks - South Ealing Road

For at least the last 3 days the mini roundabout at South Ealing Road / Church Lane has been the site of temporary traffic lights causing delays on all approaches. I've passed by several times on the 65 bus and have not seen any signs of activity. A small area of road about 2 metres square has had the surface removed.Does anyone know what is going on here?

I believe its Thames water.I have had several run ins with them on this very subject & finally got sense from a woman called Emily.At least 3 sites have done this. No work yet the traffic management company turn up whenever to clear lights.A friend of mine if he sees this moves the obstruction himself.The same situation at The Green last week. The telephone bloke argued they were given the window & would keep lights out regardless!!!
