The Queen's Commonwealth Canopy

There's an avenue of large, mature, lovely trees along both sides of Northfields Avenue, in West Ealing - nearly every tree trunk carried a Council-looking sticker.   I do hope it was not notice to fell these beautiful trees (it's on the E3 bus route).  I couldn't stop and peer as in a line of moving traffic.   I think the trees were either sycamores or plane trees.   No doubt some residents in Ealing must be looking out for their trees - hope so.   See Chiswick W4 for info on the QCC, a local lady Annette Duckworth has be active in starting a petition - she had an article of the front page of the W4 website.

Unless it's changed since earlier in the week I think these notices are warnings of low trees directed at bus drivers (and other high vehicles). (It actually says 'Warning to Buses' as though tese are sentient beings).
