No Council Tax increase.....hidden costs everywhere else....

We are told that there hasn't been an increase in council tax for years yet the following consists of the hidden costs- rubbish collected every two weeks instead of one- cost for collecting green rubbish introduced- increase in permit costs and a proposal now for a further 60% hike- parking costs in Ealing increased- charges to the summer festival introduced and increased year and   year Am sure there are many more...

Not that many according to Land registry, regardless LBE still collect council tax on them all.

You are right that central Government has cut funding to local authorities across the country. But they have pumped £150million back this year 2018. What about the extra cash coming in from all those new "new builds" in Council Tax...

We have two main political parties who have spent/spend too much time scoring points off each other and desperately trying to hang onto power rather than looking to the well-being of the nation as a whole.  Neither wants to make any political decision that would upset their own voters.We can't go back.  Our worlds have - or should have - become bigger now as other countries are more accessible than they used to be both by transport and by the worldwide web. We need all politicians to be looking at the problem of social care which is so divisive and unfair.  This is one of the biggest elephants in the room.

The Labour Council peddles lies, they convince the masses that they are better off under a Labour Government. Rubbish I say. Do you know that the last Labour Government built only 7500 homes during the whole of the term in office!!! That was less than Margaret Thatcher built in 1 year!!! and we are paying for Gordon's financial incompetence ever since...

The issue isn't so much the increase in costs, as the fact that they are made without so much as a mention beforehand and then handed down from on high, as if we should be grateful.Services have declined but money has also been frittered away by the current council - they appointed the refuse contractors for one. They have also failed to tackle problems like fly-tipping despite Mr Bell's claims to the contrary. Under a Freedom of Information request I discovered that there were 1868 reported fly-tipping incidents in the year from May 2017....and zero prosecutions. And we have to pay to clear up the mess!!
