Police and Helicopter Incident Bank Holiday Monday South Ealing Little Ealing Lane

Does anyone have any idea what all the helicopter activity over South Ealing this afternoon is all about? There was one hovering over The Quadrant/Little Ealing Lane/the South Ealing Road at 15.45 (bar fight?) for a while and there is one now doing wider circles?.Wow! Four police cars just shot by and the helicopter is back hovering, and here some a couple more cars.......

Who are these men who got around in "police-like" vehicles wearing black boilersuits/coveralls with "Ealing Patrol Services" printed on the front and on the back? Are they police or are part of Ealing Council? I watched a van-load of police driving out of South Ealing Cemetery onto Popes Lane half-an-hour ago leaving behind what appeared to be half-a-dozen police men and a couple of high-visibility marked police vehicles and some non-uniformed people about a hundred and fifty feet inside the cemetery itself. On closer inspection the vehicles were not police though were very police-like and the men in uniforms had black coverealls with "Ealing Patrol Services on them?First, who are the these people (police/council/VIGILANTES?)Secondly, what is it with the South Ealing Cemetery as a crime nexus?Thirdly, will we ever find out what happened in the South Ealing Cemetery on Mpnday before lasy, May Day Bank Holiday, that required two helicopters, three motorbikes, and seven police cars?

Wonder if these are the same lowlife that caused the incident near Popes Lane traffic lights.  Some one said that the riders had gone into the cemetery on Popes Lane, exiting in Ealing Road, where the incident occurred when the guys from 'Bills' went to the aid of a mopet rider as he waited at the Little Ealing Lane/ Popes Lane traffic lights.  Hopefully these are the same ones.  Hope the policeman has fully recovered too.

I was waiting at the E3 bus stop opposite Turnham Green station when a moped with 3 guys went past, pursued by a police car and, a couple of mins behind, a police motorcyclist. The moped guys took a right into Chiswick Common Rd, hitting a pedestrian who, by luck rather than design wasn't hurt. A couple of mins later, all hell broke loose in terms of police cars and helicopters. Got on the E3 bus and when it got to Pope's Lane, lots of police cars by the cemetery and up on the right into the housing estate. Apparently the police got the guys, although one police officer was slightly hurt.

Two helicopters! That scale of police presence would imply the apprehension of a pretty serious criminal!

Presumably the same cavalcade of 4 police cars plus motorbike later seen heading west, along South Parade on Acton Green/Chiswick  Commons. As the cars were all Range Rovers or similar, and by now accompanied by two helicopters, I had assumed that it was VIP protection - where no money seems to be spared.

Apparently some sort of massive chase involving several police cars, a police helicopter, a police motorbike, a couple of police on mopeds, and an ambulance resulted in the capture of an individual in the South Ealing Cemetery.The cemetery is located on the South Ealing Road and runs between Occupation Lane and Popes Lane.
