Re CPZ

has anyone on the council any idea when the work for the CPZ on Trees Est. is going to be up and running because at the moment all work seems to have stop and the CPZ is not in operation and no word from the council about the new start date is, and I like many others I would think were made to ruse to get our permits by the 26/04/2018 it just seems to be another council cock up

Just to add, it took me two years to get the lights installed on the TfL bridge between Olive Road and Church Gardens. This was finally installed last month. http://ealingcommon.yourcllr.com/2018/03/23/safety-first-on-the-bridge/

Dear Peter,We have had this conversation before. I passed your enquiry to the environment team and the trees team. The trees team are slow in actioning casework. I have several trees requests outstanding since last year. Regarding the lights on Popes Lane/Lionel Road. It took the best part of three years to get funds from TfL (first we were promised then they kept delaying the monies) and the new lights and improved junction are finally going in as I type. Dear Harold,Yes, if you are registered disabled then your CPZ permit is free and you then don’t need to put the BB on your dashboard (eliminates the risk of getting it stolen). Well done Joanna working for us again they is one thing I would like to ask you as you no I am disabled and I have a disabled bay which under the CPZ I have paid for but when I phoned the help line on the recorded message it said if you were disabled it was free is this right or not once again thank you Regards Harold

Dear Harold and other residents in the Gunnersbury Park CPZ area,The Parking Department at Ealing Council has backed down and have agreed to my requests:* Request to abandon enforcement ’til the whole zone has been completed - enforcement to now start 11th April* Delay the start date of the residents’ permits as residents will not be getting a full year’s worth of permit usage  - residents will have their permits extended by a month* Communicate with all permit holders that reside in the zone about what’s happening - all residents who have purchased permits will be contacted about the new enforcement date and the extended permit datehttp://ealingcommon.yourcllr.com/2018/04/06/gunnersbury-park-cpz-shambles-council-backtracks-after-councillor-dabrowskas-intervention/

So technically, the CPZ is live in bits of the area where the signage and the markings correlate to the same space.Permits were to be purchased before the official go live date of 26th March 2018.However, in some of the 'live' roads, residents with permits are getting parking tickets (PCNs).Go figure!

I have written about the CPZ implementation on my ward website: http://ealingcommon.yourcllr.com/2018/03/27/gunnersbury-park-cpz-a-shambles/Ealing Council refuse to budge on the three matters I have raised with them, namely, * Request to abandon enforcement ’til the whole zone has been completed* Communicate with all permit holders that reside in the zone about what’s happening* Delay the start date of the residents’ permits as residents will not be getting a full year’s worth of permit usageI have spoken with two other councils (different political flavours) and they agree with me that a good policy is to have a CPZ go live when it's all completed.Ealing Council has banked the money from the permits and is not offering residents value for money as effectively, their permits are redundant/usless 'til it goes live in 'their street' because the signage and bay markings haven't been completed.The Parking department at the Council are not being logical in their approach and keep promising the works will be done this week. As we both know, I have yet to see a workman on the Gunnersbury Park CPZ area since 23rd March.
