Crime in Hanwell

How sad to see that crime is rife in Hanwell.I lived in Hanwell from pre-WW2 until 1959 when I was married.Hanwell was always a peaceful place in those times.May it return to those joyful days as soon as possible.

I lived in Hanwell from 1945 (birth) to 1972. Peaceful! Used to play along the canal. Open and close the lock gates for the barges and sometimes got a ride to Brentford. Went to Churchfields in the dark when I was 12. 1970 used to make a point of coming home late via Hanwell Station to savour the atmosphere of the gas lights. Loads of atmosphere. Staceys clothes. Sainsburys. Modern Man boutique and many more. The Fox in Green Lane where there was always a welcome from Joyce and Les. Conolly Dell. It was pretty good to grow up there.

I lived in Hanwell from 1945 till 1950( I was born in 1945).Rosebank Road to be exact.I now live in Geraldton Western Australia since 1963 actually.My foster brother lived in Rosebank Road from about 1939,George Edland.Also another coincidence is that here in Geraldon there are Chants too.One couplelived next door once.
