Now wouldn't it be good if it could tell you what is happening.

So they can't tell you when they will be coming instead then?

I uninstalled mine last night after it got stuck and kept on giving me the bin notification every 10 minutes for about an hour. I don't know what's more annoying, the constant pinging or the fact that the council weren't actually coming today anyway.

I haven't got a smart phone. Perhaps this will work for the teenagers who do have them.
And what about the elderly - many of whom do not have or want the burden of a smart phone?

Only one email this week, seems to have settled down

I hope that all Councillors, officers and Council workers living and working in Ealing have been contacted and encouraged to download this app. This is where the info should be trialled first!

I installed it and so far it's been accurate and the Yes Please and No Thanks sections are handy if not sure about what can go in each bin. It hasn't sent me duplicate emails so far.

In Acton they got emails telling them the wrong bin colour day. Dur. Lucky it's not an early warning for an impending incoming missile attack.Perhaps they should warn people that they are testing something new? Or someone new is testing?

no contact details on the app - several other faults / niggles.no facility to change emailno exit fron some screens

Hopefully just teething problems. Is it a Council app or third party? Would be interesting in signing up if it adjusts for bank holiday changes to collection dates - the email reminder from Green Redeem doesn't.
