Susan,I like many other people in Ealing try and keep as far away as possible from the Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre. Most of the shops are half-sized as the rents are such that even the major chains cannot afford to locate full-sized unit shops there, e.g. Tesco. The lifts in the main concourse rarely work properly makinf disabled access to the library, for example, an issue. There are only two benches of public seating in the whole centre that are undercover of rain (you should see the contrast with the original blueprints before Ealing Council gave it all away when they sold on the freehold and the planning committee allowed endless cheese-parings in facilities (all parties are guilty here). We, the consumer, are the loser.I welcome the eventual relocation of the central library out of this consumer hellhole, though not the reduction in size.Add the lack of parking, or EVEN ANYWHERE WHERE YOU CAN DROP ANYONE OFF WITHOUT GETTING A TICKET, not friendly. We, the consumers are the losers in this.
