How sad to hear of Gerry's death. In the early days of this forum he was a regular contributor and we used to have some wonderful get togethers often meeting at his house first. He loved Ealing where he had put down his roots. As we now live in Dorset sadly we will not be able to attend his funeral but both Linda and myself send our condolences and love to his family.

This sad news just appeared on my Twitter feed.I moved away from Ealing about 4 years ago but prior to that, I was a relatively active member of the Forum and enjoyed the wide variety of subjects. I particularly enjoyed Gerry's posts and exchanges with him. You always wonder who is behind the keyboard and what they're like and I always got the impression that Gerry was a very kind and gentle man. It seems from what I have read, this is very much the case. My sincere condolences to his family.RIP Gerry.
