What is the biggest eyesore in Ealing?

What is the biggest eyesore in Ealing? On Facebook someone nominated the Greenford Flyover.  For me the stupid wide pavement alongside Gurnell Pool in place of a serviceable lane of traffic. That and the council group that put it there.

Ealing hospital is horrendous. I know it's useful but do hospitals built in the 70s have to be so ugly?

Dickens Yard, eclipsing the beautiful church next-door, by not having enough space between buildings and open spaces replaced by this overwhelming structure!

What about those awful hideous buildings that house W H Smith and the shop to the left of it on the Broadway? They replaced the Victorian Ealing Theatre. Whatever eventually happens with the proposed development of that row of shops, the wrecking ball can't come soon enough for that bit!

It might not be the worst building in Ealing but I'd take a wrecking ball to the Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre first. It is such an important site and the building sets the tone for the area. The forbidding frontage makes it look a bit like a multi-storey car park. It would make a significant difference to the centre of Ealing if this building was sympathetic to the Victorian architecture that surrounds it.

Yes, has any reason been given for doubling the width of the footpath in front of Gurnell Pool? Utterly baffling. And at what huge cost?
