That protrusion into the road is downright dangerous to cyclists in both directions and hugely dangerous for buses which now find themselves on a collision course with other buses and wider vehicles.  It will only be a matter of time before a calamity occurs. This also creates an obstacle for emergency vehicles in what is a regularly used route by emergency servicesThose with good memories will remember a huge accident with two fire enginesthat swerved because of an obstruction on that very section of road. The recent Tragedy in Latimer Road and in South London revealed just how difficult is is becoming for Fire Appliances and specialist fire appliances to access areas even by A and B roads.  They are not consulted properly, and are pressured to dance to the tune of the local authorities too much. There are now a lot of high rise buildings in the vicinity and NO appliances with hi rise capability in the whole area. So jamming up through roads with obstacles has ramifications that need to be fully discussed with people who know the area and not by some bod doing a CAD diagram from a google map..It makes one wonder just what some people are thinking by messing with what are already narrow two way artery roads.Given the huge 'concern' Ealing Council make to justify the peculiar turning ban at Longfield Avenue, they do not seem to have the same concern with this self created hazard.Double standards yet again.Maybe one or two Cycling Advocates within LBE ought to try cycling in the dark wind and rain up and down Windmill road themselves and see just what an all round hazard they have created.I would love an explanation of what it is they are trying to achieve?
