The Class War Comes to Pitshanger Park

Well, I've got to hand it to 'em. The travellers have finally found somewhere that I would like them to stay. Deep in the heart of bluest whole-hog-roasting Tory-dom in Ealing they have found the ultimate place to make a political statement and bring the class war to the most disconnected and class-oriented ward in Ealing: Hanger Hill Ward. For the first time in their lives Tory Ward councillors Joy Morrissey, Greg Stafford, and Nigel Sumner will have to deal with real people. Perhaps Morrissey can apply her humanitarian experience to the situation?

Does anyone welcome these people in their own back yard? My memory goes back to 1950 in Topcliffe , then, North Riding and the annual horse fair. No-one wanted them but IIRC it took an act of parliament to stop this event. It was not the horses that we the locals disliked.

Hello Victor, I see from using the search function that this is your first post on the forum - welcome. I do hope that Victor Militari is your real name and not a pseudonym; it's against forum rules to post under a false name. The fact that your name does not produce any results from a Google search is not of course proof that it's made up.

I suspect that much of the rubbish left behind often comes from the locals who phone that mobile number left under their car windscreens offering rubbish removal.  If it is traced back to you then you are also liable to be fined.

Victor, Take a look at the google earth link below which shows the utter devastation left by travellers on the London Tigers sports ground, a sports ground used by some of the most disadvantaged in our society and in a true "red" constituency of Ealing North/Greenford Green. So far it has taken 4 months to clear this mess up at a substantial cost...not the fault of any political party just utter disregard for our community - perhaps you'd care to volunteer clear up the asbestos, toilets, building rubble etc ---didn't think so...https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.5388367,-0.3543166,153m/data=!3m1!1e3

Even more objectionable, those who find ANY  justification for the actions of these people. Hopefully the apologists will be first in the queue to pick up the human faeces inevitably dumped and will be volunteering to lead the clean up once they are moved on.
