Gunnersbury Park Wild Meadow

Prompted by Liz Jenner's photos that were published on this site I visited Gunnersbury Park at the weekend to see the wild meadow.It is truly breathtaking and I recommend going down and seeing it right now when it is in full bloom. As I understand it this partly managed way of looking after park land is cheaper and better for the environment than other methods as well as being more beautiful.

Isn't it? I am convinced that there are far more bees in my garden this year than any in living memory and that this is down to the 'wilding' of public spaces.
