Backgammon at Hanwell Carnival

If you are heading to the carnival on Saturday and want some fun that money can't buy, then head over to our Backgammon stall to learn the game, brush up your skills, or test your wits against some of London's best players (and I am not one of them!). We will be near the food area: stall F10 to be precise if you find yourself asking a steward. We are a local club and meet every Thursday, at 6.45 for 7.15 at Ealing Bowls Club, Craven Road, W5 2UA. Home-made food and cheap bar is available.

Hi Sarah, I do apologise for not responding sooner. I don't look at this site every day and neither receive notifications on any threads that I comment on in the Forum. Does anyone?Firstly, there is free parking at the club. Ironically, we are running our first beginners' session at The Owl and Pussycat on Northfield Avenue on Monday 26th June at 7pm. The classes are designed for those that want to learn the game, or are rusty & want to sharpen their tactics. If you would like to come you'll receive a warm welcome! (It would be great/helpful if you could let me know in advance that you are coming by dropping me a message.) From July onwards we'll hold our beginners' sessions on the 3rd Monday of each month.
