Congratulations to all involved, it looks so much more in keeping with the character of the building than the 'green greenhouse'!Asbestos is a swine and I lead the fundraising to remove it from my church - far from cheap.Good luck with the upcoming nuptials.

It was an amazing process to be involved in and over the period of time it turned into something that everyone likes. All different tastes and preferences amongst the congregation and yet somehow by discussing what kind of church we wanted without getting into any discussion of architecture we were able to provide something for architects to show us their vision. It really has transformed the space well. One unfortunate side was the discovery of asbestos which caused delays and increased the cost. The asbestos question is something that a lot of old buildings face when refurbishment is considered. There is always a probable chance that asbestos can be found. But the front is looking lovely and we feel it is a more welcoming space. A lot of credit must go to our minister who suggested and encouraged us within the process. Jen did a marvellous job of understanding the congregation and how to get us all to work together. So as a community we have benefited from the process of refurbishment. I am hoping to get married there next year and i am sure that the space lends itself well to all occasions.
