Shy politicians

I had tried to discuss the drop in performance of Type 1 A&E departments in North West London when the graphs became available in Nov 2016 with Joy Morrissey. She was then Tory spokesperson on health. Arrangements to meet were repeatedly cancelled. I hoped to catch a glimpse of Theresa May and Joy Morrissey at the Tory HQ in Broughton Road this afternoon. Neither the few supporters or the crowd of shouting hecklers saw anything. All blacked out. Is this the new Tory colour?I went to the hustings at ECIL in West Ealing later in the afternoon.Rupa and Jon were treated to passionate questioning.  Again no Joy.

"political football" is just a phrase.Let's face it no one trusts the Tories with the NHS in general. No one trusts Labour with it either (look at PFI and Branson and private ambulances etc etc etc ).For a few decades both parties record with regards to our NHS has been horrendous. They just kick it about, mention it to warm our cockles or scare us,  yet both have constantly undermined it. I wouldn't trust either with it. Tories are capitalising on what Blair started. No party is the party of the NHS. Neither has been for decades.

The NHS is governed and controlled by the Government here through the Ealing Clinical Commissioning Group. They are following a strategy called Shaping a Healthier Future. This decided the fate of two A&Es in this area Hammersmith and Central Middlesex. They were closed. This has resulted in a downturn in performance in all the A&Es in the area. All quite horrendous really. It is because the NHS is publicly funded that it must be controlled by politicians. I don't know where this football business comes from.

Fair enough.Too much porkie pies going on at the moment. The Tory hating NHS had to put out a statement calling out the Labour / Lib Dem lies. All quite horrendous really. The NHS is once again a political football used be all parties it seems.

Most MPs are crawling out of the woodwork prior to the election. All wanting to be our friends & pretending they will deal with the many issues that annoy & affect us daily.Theresa May was approached by a lady surviving (believe the term is J.A.M - just about managing) berating the rich poor divide.Mrs Mays response completely ignored the issue of fat cats continuously raking in millions £££££.Typical of them all, say & promise 1 thing & deliver nothing whilst lining their own pockets

Surprise! It's not just the A&Es but entire hospitals that will become mere health centres under the Tory lot's existing STP plans (cleverly not mentioned in the run-up to the election - too much bad news already).Seriously, would you want to face members of the pubic and get a debate going at this point? I don't think so...
