Hope Ms Morrisey overturns the tiny majority that lost the seat from the excellentAngie Bray. McCluskey's rigged Unite Union election,a Corbyn backer,in common with the present Labor member.

Rupa Huq is an excellent MP.  Interested in the area, supportive of women, a really hard worker and a breath of fresh air after Tory Angie Bray,

Think you will find your neighbour's ignorance of local political matters isn't unusual. Both Angie Bray and Rupa Huq have been good hard working MPs but most people in a constituency have no knowledge or interest in this. On June 8 voters in Ealing Central and Acton generally won't see it as a choice between Joy Morrissey and Rupa Huq, they will decide based on their views of the relative merits of Theresa May and Jeremy Corbyn.

Angie Bray was an excellent MP and really took an interest in this area. As a Streetwatcher I had lots of occasions to contact her and she was always very helpful.  It was such a shame she lost her seat.I know nothing of Ms Huq only that she backed Mr Corbyn and that she voted against Brexit.  I was chatting with a neighbour a few days ago and she said she had never even heard of Ms Huq.

Think you could bet your house on it. Rupa Huq was toast once the Lib Dems decided to stand against her. She seems to have been a competent constituency MP though and has a very good sense of humour. To be fair to her she was only a Corbyn backer in the sense she was one of the misguided MPs who nominated him for leader not thinking for one moment that he might actually win. That terrible misjudgment has probably ended her political career but other people have suffered far worse consequences of her error. In that sense she deserves her fate but people should be prepared to recognise she did good work for her constituents when she had the job.
