Man Injured in Assault in South Ealing (Monday 10th April)

A young man was injured with a glass bottle in South Ealing on what appears to be Durham Road, what I would like to know is where the bottle came from that was used in this attack: i.e. where it all started, that is which bar/shop/takeaway the bottle came from originally?

Yes, the camera is owned and operated by Ealing Council like most of the other public order cameras in Ealing. It is his area of responsibility within the Ealing Council Cabinet (Labour) within his portfolio.All he has to do is to tell the relevant Council Officer to have it turned back on, and so it will be!

Is the camera Council owned? If not how could Cllr Mahfouz be expected to have it turned back on?

The Popes Lane South Ealing Road junction has developed some real problems over the past few years tied in with a local bar there, a 24 hour shop and some very late night takeaways that seem to attract trouble as well as drug dealing and questionably-sourced tobacco.The proliferation of cab companies and betting shops has not helped either.The police don't seem to want to address the issues at the core of this preferring to gloss over incidents rather than dealing with the source of them. The lack of interest in what is really happening in what is a rapidly declining area is exemplified by the fact that the camera positioned above the Co-op on the South Ealing Road remains turned off (it was switched off during the robbery when the jewellers was robbed a year or so ago). If there was one thing that super-Mahfouz could do for this part of South Ealing it would be to have this camera turned back ON please!

Curious at the relevance of the origin of an everyday object?  Could also be carried from home or picked out of a litter bin.
