Co-operative supporting a small local charity for the elderly.

Small favour from anyone living in the Ealing,Hanwell areas or nearby. The Co-op are supporting a local Charity I am involved in. If you shop at Co-op and have a membership card, would you kindly log in or sign up and choose to support The Hanwell Neighbourly Care Scheme. Come October the Charity will receive a share of Co-op profits depending on how much support we get. Would really appreciate all your help with this. In November last year I asked Greenredeem about local schemes and they said that they were in talks with Ealing Council about some.  I haven't heard anything since...Perhaps we should all email Cllr Bassam Mahfouz.  We were promised some local projects and I would like my points to go towards something like this one.

I agree with you Philippa - I complained about the lack of funding opportunities for local schemes on the Greenredeem Facebook page some six months ago. Since then a couple of other people did the same. A response from Greenredeem stated that plans were being made for the introduction of funding for local schemes. Since then, silence.

I noticed this Co-op scheme recently and signed up because I really like the idea of supporting local projects.  When you sign up you can either choose a particular scheme to support or all of them in your area. I wish that I had been able to give my Greenredeem points to another local scheme but unfortunately they haven't had any for a long time.  I much prefer this to getting a discount/free gift with points.
