Mystery of the Man on the Moor

http://www.channel4.com/programmes/mystery-of-the-man-on-the-moorInteresting how they collected together lots of information to answer the questions of who he was and where he came from but in the course of that a whole load of new questions without answers appear.It seems he didn't walk up to Ealing Broadway from South Ealing but was picked up with his suitcase at Heathrow and driven to the Ealing Travelodge...

Hi Tony,Thank you for your input,I had all the details but two heads are better than one,I am not sure that there was any connection with the Moors Murders,DS Coleman of GM Police would have ventured down that road if any connection was made, as for medication,David would have been aware of the dosage and DS Coleman was very positive that David did not intend to take his own life,Regards John.

I'm not sure that you have the latest info on his death,apologies if you have.  The cause of death was ingestion of rat poison which was in a bottle intended   for Thyroxine purchased in Pakistan (It's no longer available in the whole of      Europe).    His birth name was David Keith Lautenberg  which he changed after a family feud to Lytton.  Evidently he was well above average intelligence according to his relatives.      Personally I've a feeling that it more to do with the Moors Murders,the plane crash was in the same year as his birth, whereas he was about the same age as one  of the victims ...Unrequited Love maybe???

David was not equipped for an overnight stay on the Mountain or indeed on the moors,past experience  tells me it gets very cold overnight on the Moors,and hypothermia sets in very quickly and sometimes proves to be fatal,just thoughts!!!Wheres the Suitcase?And was he expected back at the Travel Lodge?Keep delving,Regards John.

Philippa,I think the 1949 Plane crash has the answer,Davids body was found below the area of the crash,he could have booked into the Clarance pubic house but instead inquired which way to the top of the Mountain?He fully intended to return,and had return tickets on his person,no other person met him on the Mountain so we keep delving for the answer,regards,John.

He booked in at the Ealing Travel Lodge for 5 days I think but only stayed one.  Was he meeting someone on the moor?

Hi Fred,Thank you for the Info,got loads on David Lyyton with the exception of why?I think the Aircraft crash in 1949 has the answer and David was making a pilgrimage of some kind,he had a return ticket to London,so the tragic event of his demise maybe was not planned?regards John.

Phillipa,I have followed this with interest,there must be some connection with the BEA Plane crash in 1949 in the area where his body was found?Saddleworth Moor is full of mysteries,take the Moors Murders as example,if you find the answer before me let me know.regards John.
