Should we boycott businesses that vandalize the local area and dump rubbish?

My question is simple: whould we boycott businesses that vandalize the local area and dump their rubbish?See next postwith pavement vandales in Northfields.

It's illegal to drive along a pavement, and in London it's illegal to park on one...Not quite sure how you're getting "it's allowed" out of that...?

Its not an ideal parking place but believe it or not, it is allowed.

It's illegal.  Unfortunately they don't seem to get caught often enough although there is a lot more CCTV.  There are too many dangerously damaged pavements. Building sites need to be monitored better too.Parking is difficult for everyone and deliveries may have to be arranged more carefully.  That is just how it is.

It's not just deliveries, it's members of the public who would rather park on the pavement opposite our local dry cleaners than walk a few metres after parking legally. To be seen daily in Haven Lane. No wonder our pavements get worse and worse.

Support the good local traders: the ones that care enough about the community not to destroy pavements by driving and parking on them, and the ones that care enough not to dump rubbish outside their shops. Support the traders that care.If they care so little about the well-being of the community around them that they dump and destroy the pavements, what sort of produce, products, food, etc., are they passsing off to you?

The paving slabs are laid on a bed of sand. They are only intended to be walked on. They will crack if driven on. If the do not crack they are destabilised as the sand is disturbed by the slabs pressing on them in an uneven way. They then start to tilt or rock if driven over a few times. As the sand moves under them the weight of vehicles on them is not evenly distributed and they break. An elderly (or not so elderly) person trips on a raised paving slab and it's hip replacement time. Vandalism pure and simple. Hence fines for driving or parking on pavements. Also, less and less money to repair pavements......

In the first instance its an offence to drive or park on the footway. However due to the council enforcing so many parking restrictions what choice is there??Cant park in bus stop, illegal to stop on zig zags of zebra crossing. There wont be one road where the driver can park without receiving a fixed penalty. If he stops on the main road it will cause jams, bearing in mind heavy tools etc will be needed.

The local Nortfield Ward secured hundreds of thousands of pounds to refurbish the Parade area at the south end of Northfields Avenue to improve it for local businesses and local residents. How does one business repay this faith: it vandalizes a pavement by driving a lorry onto it. Pictures are of lorry outside W.H.Smith.
