I think locals are going to be in for a shock. As long ago as 2015, passenger predictions were indicating that Eastbound Crossrail trains will be at standing only capacity by Hayes. The last as yet unpublished data indicates it could be total capacity reached by Hayes. There is going to be a huge reduction in seats per 100 passengers, and to make way for the Crossrail service, other services are to be reduced. It seems that already Greenford trains will no longer run to Paddington. So West Ealing and Acton Main Line will all lose out badly and Ealing Broadway may well be a poor relation to the rest of the new line. There's a wall of silence at the moment from the powers that be, but it looks like to counter this there will be services starting from a point within the Zone area. But quite where from is not confirmed. But let's hope so. A reversing loop and stabling point will be required for what will be rather long trains.Ironic that the hype in house prices and madness of developers building to cash in is actually going to be rather negated as the real benefit of Crossrail is going to benefit those districts beyond Hayes. It could be more people and less capacity for most of Ealing commuters.Back to the Central Line!
