Recycling Real Christmas Trees
It always amazes me how so many people manage to buy these and get them home but then can't make sure that they dispose of them carefully. We are already starting to trip over them in the streets. Here is what the Council website says:https://www.ealing.gov.uk/info/201171/recycling_services/1652/recycling_your_real_christmas_tree – 29k"Between Wednesday 28 December 2016 and Friday 27 January 2017, you can leave your real tree on the front edge of your property, to have it taken away for recycling. Trees will be collected on the same day as your refuse and recycling collections each week.Tree trunks must not exceed 20cm in diameter, or be more than six feet tall (taller trees can be cut in two). Please ensure all decorations are removed.Alternatively, you can also take your Christmas trees to one of the council's parks and open spaces listed, up until Sunday, 12 February."Then there is a list of all the parks etc where you can take them (too numerous for me to cut and paste individually). It is a good part of Christmas experience to go for a walk with the children to your local park dragging your Christmas tree behind you. The sight (and smell) of a large mound of Christmas trees is also worth the visit.
