Personally I think a café is better for that location just opposite the station. Maybe Ealing B station just needs some high quality independent cafes – Café Zee looks great, Cinnamon on Pitshanger is quite good. I would rather something like that. I wonder if rents are set very high in those locations making them viable only for chains, not ideal but I suppose the council can earn some money from the corporates that way.The Terrace gardens in Richmond has a brilliant café with a Lebanese/middle eastern theme but all sorts of other things as well, mostly homemade - Ealing needs places like this. Ditto the garden centre near Ravenscourt Park tube station small menu, reasonably priced and mostly homemade. Generally I have been a bit disappointed by restaurants/cafes since moving to Ealing. I did notice a new Turkish restaurant - has anyone been there?
