There are some recipes on www.greenredeem.co.uk.Under Greener Living on the above website where there are the most stunningly spooky and artistic lanterns I've ever seen there is a link to recipes including a pumpkin pie one from Martha Stewart.It's so much easier to cook now that you can so often watch a video first!  Just found a spiced pumpkin cupcake recipe - mmm.

Most pumpkins and other squashes will easily keep for three months in a well ventilated dry environment making them a good winter food for humans and animals alike in the times before cold stores and fridges and freezers.
