Cote Restaurant/The Green

I am trying to trace what shops might have been on the location where now the Cote Restaurant stands (W5 The Green). I know it was a pub called The Green before that, but I am trying to trace it further back. Does anyone know/remember what it would have been before it was a pub and a restaurant?

Missing from that list was Morris Bros the mens Outfitters, Importers Coffee grinders ( who moved twice ) Beggars Banquet Record shop The Umbrella Shop next to Foleys fruit and veg.The Police Station and Sainsburys then a small service road and then John Sanders ( now M&S`)  Lamertons were on most of the other side of the high street up to the apex.

I used to work in Crusts. Hardest job I've ever done - no dumb waiter and I worked down in the basement so up and down stone stairs all the time.

I believe in the 50/60s the Cote site was an ABC cafeteria. If it wasn't that site it was certainly in that parade of shops.

Wow, so it's been used for quite a bit then! I can see how it would have such a history, it's a building with some character.

Could be, I know that Parkview used to be Three Pigeons, which was part of the Rat & Parrot pub chain. I suppose I am extremely curious what was being sold from what is now Cote 50 years ago. Was it a chemist, a butchers, a bakers? What can I say, local history is fascinating!

Crusts, burger place. And I think the pub was the (brilliant)Ealing Tandoori before. Stowels the chemist, Clay Bros...hardware and bits of metal

I watched it yesterday! Rather amazing to see the little way to Baker's Lane on it (I call it rape ally that little passage way between Chimichanga and Oxfam). Unfortunately he doesn't go far enough down for me to see what the shop in this building used to be. I have tried to figure out what sort of people lived in the building as well and how long there has been a shopfront.
