Rubbish Collection in Ealing needs better Management

The rear alleys where rubbish was originally collected from, is left uncared for. The Bins in the front garden spaces are often rearranged after being emptied and left to obstruct the street and pavements.The new BLUE wheelie Bins add to the obstrustion space even more.The authorities managing the Refuse collections are more eager to find fault with any one reporting to get some help with failures . The telphone is not answered by a person making a call but used to further annoy a reporter by advertising the ON LINE SERVICES that is designed to disgourage a resident, or by planning to scare older people by wrong footing them on recyling procedures, forced on to the Residents under threat of Penalties. SHAME ON EALING COUNCIL GOVERNMENT IF THEY ARE UNAWARE OF THE INCREASING NUMBERS OF PEOPLE WHO FEEL LIKE I DO>

You did mention thaat you have an alley behind the houses.  This is more than some of us have and it can make it easier to keep the bins so long as you can move the correct one nearer to the gate on the day of collection. People are still putting them on the pavement because no-one can get in or out the property if they are on the house's frontage - if they actually fit there at all - and householders still do not have enough confidence that the contractors will collect, empty and return the bins as they are supposed to do.

Perhaps you should contact your Councillors if you are having trouble with your bins.  Could you manage with smaller ones which are easier to manoeuvre?  The problem with having them in the front is that they do obstruct the pavement and entrances and exits to homes which is dangerous.  Perhaps it would be better if they were placed in the alley?
