Morrisons and Lydl

I use both these stores and find them good value most of the time. However I hate the blue pull along baskets in Lydl's west ealing store and wonder why they still don't offer normal wire baskets as an alternative.Morrisons seem to have a problem keeping shelves stocked. Maybe there are not  enough staff.  Also goods appear to be just thrown in especially frozen foods. As a former retail manager there is a problem. It may be poor training, poor supervision, poor deliveries and stock control but whatever the cause it needs attention. Shelf edge pricng tickets are also haphazard and I always check my bill as mistakes are quite common.Shame really as it otherwise is a good store in which to shop.Although long retired from retailing, it is hard to get out of the habit of noticing weaknesses in retail shops

rarely use Morrisons or Lidl, but agree about Tesco as have been short changed several times.I did use Tesco frequently although not so much now, going to Sainsburys instead.My gripe with the supermarkets are that products I know are available are not in stock. Little point queuing at customer services, often met with blank looks.They also seem unable to get the balance right, 100s of 1 product or variety yet none of another. When asked why the reply is "because its popular"! Surely then order more?M + S too are below par, they like to open early but dont cater for the customer. Goods left on trolleys, no tills open ( I wont use self service) & sparse variety - mind you plenty of suits barking orders while standing about.Waitrose take you to the product, as do Marks unlike Tesco who point vaguely in the direction

Yes i go to morrisons near where i work and it is excellent. good value compared with sainsbury's, tesco and waitrose but i do agree about shelves. noticed that in brentford the other night.
