LOCAL PARK SAFETY,DO YOU FEEL SAFE IN YOUR PARK

Hounslow Council are introducing Security into their Parks,Do you feel safe in your Park?

Some of the Hanwell areas eg Boston Manor, Elthorne and behind Ealing Hospital don't feel very safe unless there are others around.  This is because lots of people live in the woods.

Yes Keith you assume correctly. Only a week or so ago while shopping in a Tesco Express opposite  the  Gardens we local eldely folk seldom use now . two Police Officers came in to buy sandwiches and  cold drinks. I asked what could be done about the " dossers " living rough there. Nothing was the reply,  other than ask them to move on.  They will return of course later. Well we all know that.!!  So much human waste behind the benches and in the flowere beds that  young  mothers no longer take the babies and toddlers  in their buggies to play on the grass or watch the birds and butterflies now. The place stinks of urine and faeces. These men even sit on the benches and urinate  from there.

Mocking the concerns of elderly local residents who feel unsafe aside, doesn't the fact that security is deemed necessary for local parks say something to you, especially at a time when all councils are skint and not too eager to increase services? Perhaps there have been incidents reports from locals who have flagged up genuine concerns.

I don't feel safe in any PARK OR GARDENS. ALL THESE STRANGE MEN DOSSING OUT, SOME MEETING UP FOR GODDNESS KNOWSWHAT OTHERS USING THEM AS LATRINES IN FULL VIEW OF ANY OTHER USERS. DUSK TIME IS A NO NO FOR ME TO EXERCISE MY DOG.OTHER THAN DOWN THE ROAD AND BACK. EVEN THEM I AM NOT HAPPY ON MY OWN.
