65 Bus Don't Hold Your Breath

Today at five pm outside the Mleczko by South Ealing Station I was greeted by a 65 bus indicator that said: 15, 18, 20, and 21 minutes for the next four buses. So, perhaps the 65 buses are running more frequently as per the article on Ealing Today news, however in GROUPS.

It's roadworks. Almost constant at some point the length of the route.Kew Bridge and Kew road, only takes a delivery and it's jammed.But so much of the roadworks is badly planned, timed and managed and that is down to TfL Roads, who do not seem to connect very well with TfL Buses.Emergency works are very common. The route runs along some of the oldest established roads. But they do seem incapable of putting in short journeys to cover the Ealing Kew section.Kew Green was a short journey terminus, also for the 27 and 15 at one time. but the newer buses cannot fit the roads anymore.

The 65 is a victim of it's route, it crosses several major roads and always get stuck in traffic somewhere.

Thursday evening it was 29, 36 and 39 mins to Ealing Broadway at 7.50pm.No less than 9 buses going the other way and 1 out of service. Not one did a short journey to fill the gap between Kew and Ealing.As for the new buses. Nice seats inside but hideous grotesque design. and a front upper deck that one cannot see out of.And built by the same firm that makes the new Routemaster which has a brilliant panoramic view.So much for TfLs policy for London promoting good design.

not used the 65 bus for years,as I recall a long long journey. As in the 83 & E2, E7, E9 routes, fairly short local services but traffic dictates.The way forward public transport according to our wonderful councils, however can drivers use common sense when tailgating each other, 1 minute behind. Turn around, serve waiting passengers going the other way
