Hokey Cokey Wheelie Bin
Wednesday, the first day of our Wheelie Re-Cycling bin collection. We have a small front garden and despite both being disabled, at 7am we dutifully lugged our bin - heavier than we thought - to our front gate interpreted as the 'edge of our property'. I do know that you can request assistance but thought we would try first. Whoops!, forgot the paper boy who gave it a shove and squeezed through. My wife has to walk daily with a Tri- Wheeler to aid circulation so, with no collection by 9am we shoved the bin aside and back when she returned. At 10,30am I had to go out on my mobility scooter so dragged the bin well out of the way. I could be a while, they may come, so better put it back in the gate. No such luck so reverse the proceedure to get the buggy in. Ah! Sorry Postman, just give it a shove. At 2pm I had a surgery appointment - here we go again! Still no collection on my return so once again re-jigger to get my scooter in. With time marching on it was getting doubtful, maybe tomorrow, but better leave it in the gateway. At 5pm Eureka, the bin men cometh. Now, the final question - did we get our bin back? Did we heck - a neighbourhood swop ensued! As they say 'Went the day well'
