Presumably, they will put the severed heads into bins?

The parking restrictions are already in, marked with single yellows, double yellows and signage.For the double yellow on the corners we can't rally complain about that, people aren't supposed to park within 10 meters of a junction anyway and ambulances and fire engines are large vehicles too.

today when driving through ealing on my way to work I saw plenty of binbags on pavements all ripped open. I like the idea of wheeely bins but as always the implementation is poor. stopping people parking and no doubt raising revenue through parking fines is a pretty stupid solution to the fact that yet again the wrong size trucks have been used. apparently they could not get down my road and it sounds like they did not bother. so have reported a non pickup.

Where are the displaced cars supposed to go on collection days?What happens if the owners are away for any reason (maybe on holiday) - will they be fined or their vehicles towed away?You could not make it up! A repeat of the shambles last time this Council changed the system (Contractors). Maybe now they will realise why so many people rejected wheelie bins when the Conservatives polled every resident as to their preferences and actually took notice of what was said.That said, properly consulted in and with suitably sized bins and lorries involved, a wheelie bin system will indeed help to prevent foxes and other vermin from robbing the bags and tipping over the food waste bins to access the contents (provided they are properly secured in the first place...

So, if you don't get the local paper, how do you find out if parking in your street will be suspended? Tried to find it on Ealing's website, but failed.

Something else to consider - the Public Notices section of the local paper on Friday states that in certain specified streets parking is to be suspended between 7 am and 5 pm on collection days. The Notice is dated 2nd June to come into force from 6 June. This may not be generally known in the affected areas, and I do wonder whether other narrow streets will have the same restrictions imposed after tha first week of the new system. Quite where all the displaced vehicles are supposed to go is not mentioned...

I'd prefer it if some more heads were got together and if necessary were banged together to get better solutions.
