Ealing wheelie bin madness

Just seen that someone has put both of their new bins out for today's collection in that street. Not only is the new wheelie bin system not yet operating, but both bins were blocking the footpath. I forecast that we will see these bins making many footpaths impassable for the many people who use wheelchairs.Will Ealing Council care? Probably not.

They are still out delivering small ones this afternoon, so don't give up or email Bodinga for an update.

Don't panic!  Keep calm and carry on as before.Some of us have been deemed to have houses not suitable for wheelie bins.  We have to continue as we were using the green box or white sack for all our mixed recycling and the black sack as before.  They have plenty of time to still deliver bins as they were delivering all over the weekend.Check out when your collections are on the website.  You can also sign up for SMS texts to remind you.  Ideally involve the family as everyone contributes to the waste made.

If you do, you won't get a bin at all! Everyone in our street has got theirs, except for the few of us who ordered a smaller one.

Are you sure that they have put them out for collection and that they haven't just been delivered and because no-one is there left - or have been left out awaiting a different one from the Council?  Or maybe they intend leaving them out the whole time because they are too big and dangerous and difficult to manoeuvre?  It's not just wheelchairs - what about the people and mobility scooters and buggies who need to use the pavement?
