EALING COUNCIL COMMUNICATIONS

Do you like me,have great problems with communications with the London Borough of Ealing Council,one getting through to the right person or Department,or getting a answer to your inquiry or problem is a   nightmare?I understand most departments are staffed by consultants,not employees of the Council,so much for progress!!!Start remembering Ealing who you are working for the people who elected the Counselors can soon un-elect same at the next local elections.

Members of the Cabinet, are selected among the pool of councillors of the leading party. Therefore along their duty as local councillors for their wards they are also members of the Cabinet.If anyone would like to make a complaint then the first port of call should be one of their own local ward councillors. If you don't get any response from them then you can escalate by contacting the relevant Cabinet member responsible or  the relevant member of the Shadow Cabinet - names and contact details are in the council website. If you still have no joy with them, then you can always contact the Leader of the Council, Mr Bell.hope this help.

I heard that the council is run by an inner cabinet, and most councillors have no influence.

Everyone knows how hard it is getting to get a reply,or any action from the Council,I stick by my previous comments,changes need to be made.The sooner the better!!!!!!

If you are having trouble getting through to Ealing Council (i.e. the council salaried staff), then I suggest you talk to the people that were elected i.e. the councillors, rather than simply wishing they were un-elected.

I have researched further and it is a little disappointing as the post is for: Job Title: Complaints Manager (Children’s, Adults and Public Health) Grade: 12It is NOT a council-wide post, but more concerned with social services and public health.

Please John, keep us informed of any developements in this area as up till now all complaints and scrutiny of council actions and policy has been deeply suspect

Ealing Council has been interviewing for the position of Complaints Manager for the Council. The new incoming Chief Exec for the first time ever in the existance of Ealing Council is implementing a documented complaints procedure with a full-time senior officer to oversee this. The question is: has anyone been appointed yet? Apparently internal interest has been high.
