What is more, the precipitous action of the Council in building this cycle parking area has prevented many local residents from understanding and appreciating that they still have the right to object to this development, even at this late stage. Please understand, that local residents are in favour of cycling and cycle facilities. Indeed, many local residents have implored both Crossrail and the Council to include cycle parking within the refurbished Ealing Broadway station (as part of the "Crossrail project"), but they have refused. It is difficult to understand why.If this deregistration is allowed, LB Ealing would have effectively expropriated land for its own purposes that the public has had free enjoyment of since before the Norman Conquest. You will appreciate that we and many others see this is the thin end of the wedge, and that further commercial development would undoubtably follow.Yours faithfully/s
