Why would anyone, in particular selling quite an expensive say £1m+ home want to use one just to save a few thousand here or there?Am I missing the point, please educate me?

Market apparently died a death all of a sudden so on line agents should go the same way.

The savings on fees is obviously quantifiable. What is the unknown is whether a sale through a well known local high street agent would have generated a better price perhaps exceeding the savings in fees. A few years ago I would have said go with your local agent. But now most buyers do their searching on line, or at least kick off their searches, I am undecided but suspect the tide is turning.

used an online agent last year after the traditional estate agent was so slow and not helpful.Saved £8k on a £429k sale the online agent also did my conveyancing so no additional solicitor fees. The actual vat that would have been paid to a traditional estate agent, was less than the online agents fixed charge.Ok its not for everyone but it worth a look especially if your internet competent.tepilo is one online agent, there are others. So its worth a look.
