Planning Application Search - but where are the documents to view?
Ealing Council, unlike LB Harrow, LB Richmond, Reigate & Banstead Borough Council and others, does NOT put all the planning papers online to view. All we normally see on Ealing's Website for new planning applications is the Application Form, Design & Access Statement (where required) and of course the Plans (Existing and Proposed).I carried out a search via the A - Z/Planning and then did a search in this case for Castlebar Road where there is a new application at Nos. 40 & 42.The result of the search is most unsatisfactory as there are no documents whatsoever to view.In case my computer was at fault, I telephoned the Council Committee Section and spoke to one of the staff and also the head of committees, who both said that they had found exactly the same that there are no documents on the Website under this application! How can anyone comment on a planning application when the application documents (Application Form, Design & Access Statement, Existing and Proposed Plans, etc) are NOT on the Website?Personal callers to Planning Reception at Perceval House are these days usually informed that "everything is on the Website" - but certainly in this case at Nos. 40 and 42 Castlebar Road, this is not so.Please test this yourself.Regards, Victor Mishiku.vmfree@madasafish.com
