Courtfield Gardens and Argyle Road junction

It  appears this is being narrowed to allow only one vehicle at a time to exit. Can anyone see the rationale here? It will encourage rat running.

As a pedestrian I have never found it a difficult or dangerous junction. As a driver I cannot see how anyone could speed out of Courtfield onto Argyle.  One has to stop and look. The rat run will be mainly up Highview, encouraged by likely queuing at the narrowed junction.

Have you seen the Argyle Rd rush hour weekdays?? Solid & hardly moving from Sutherland to the A40.Drivers will seek alternative routes & while I welcome pedestrian safety, TFL & Ealing council are anti car

That junction has always been a dangerous place for pedestrians to cross. At the junction with the Argyle Road, Courtfield Gardens is very wide and that encourages traffic to speed up. Hopefully when the work is complete it will be easier to cross the road. I do not understand why it should encourage rat running.

Great up Highview, ny road where some already think its Le Mans. Im hoping the road is narrow due to a walkway for pedestrians while they make good the footway, fingers crossed.On a plus side further up Argyle Rd the doctors surgery has had a zebra crossing put in place.All thats needed now is the Cleveland Rd/Argyle Rd crossing to be raised to slow drivers & a crossing between Cleveland Pk & Scotch Common.This has become a coach park for Impact coaches, & a grab lorry park. DANGEROUS. A bottleneck & pedestrians with dogs vision completely obstructed. PARK ON THE MAIN ARGYLE ROAD IMPACT. LETTERS ADDRESSING THIS BLATANTLY IGNORED BY YOU
