Why is this even news?Taking into account the norms of construction hours the additional number of lorries is 2 per hour during the working - so far less than the number of buses that already use the same road.

It’s probably because construction lorries are more dangerous than buses to vulnerable road users and windmill road is a difficult road for cars to negotiate let alone anything larger.Demolition attracts the most dangerous type of ‘off road’ vehicles. Hopefully the construction site will plan vehicles at less busy times and use the safest trucks, trained drivers and reputable operators.
