No Waste Electrical Recycling Bank near you?

http://westlondonwaste.gov.uk/events/new-year-electealing-libraryTry the libraries...  Check dates etc above.But if something can be mended...  or just needs something simple like a new lightbulb or filter.  Does anybody have favourite place to get this done or order online spares from?

And don't forget the mouldable glue Sugru for mending.  For years Dad used to Araldite everything and whittle new handles for favourite knives etc.  He would have loved this stuff for mending handles and knobs on things.  I put a pointer on a microwave dial so that my elderly FIL could still use it once he could no longer see the markings but it has been used to customise masses of things.

Shops/businesses that sell electricial goods often forget about the WEEE regulation,not to mention the RoHS directive.Saves them the bother of recycling your returned goods.Anything that reduces landfill should be encouraged.

Well for spare parts for electrical equipment best first to try local retailers like City Radio Stores in Bond Street or Hoover Service Centre (does other brands as well) in Mattock Lane.  There are many others. If that fails this on-line company seems to have huge range of spares. http://www.espares.co.uk/
