No more Microsoft Windows versions or updates

I understand that Windows 10 is to be the last, and Microsoft have announced that they will not provide any more security or other updates, leaving all users open to new exploits.

The brief article on page 9 of the January 13 Metro just says no further updates for the 8, 9, and 10 versions.

You are correct, I have just checked the article, although W 10 is the final version.I do not care, I avoid Microsoft like The Plague, and have used Debian Linux for many years.www.chrisbell.org.uk

Sorry should read- only the most current version of IE available for a supported operating system will receive technical support and security updates.

I thought it was Internet Explorer not Windows, Beginning January 12, 2016, only the most current version of  available for a supported operating system will receive technical support and security updates. Windows 8, 8.1 end of support 9 January 2018 Windows 10, end of support 13 October 2020
