Ealing Council web based fault reporting fails again

I tried to report a street lighting fault opposite the rear of my house in Park Royal Road but my postcode is set by my front door location on the Western Avenue, so the road immediately behind my house may have a different postcode. The first of five pages refused to accept the address I entered, so I gave the name of the property alongside the street lamp as Cemetary (sorry I do not know plot numbers). I used the Google map to show the location, but that did not register anything. I had the lamp reference NC156, but could not move to the correct page to enter this information. When can we get this council sorted? School kids could create a better system!

I love www.fixmystreet.com because I can use it when I don't remember the name of the street but I do know where I was eg the road opposite the coffee shop/pub/bank etc!I like the way that a report remains online for everyone to see.  When Councils don't have a system where you feel that you are acknowledged at all for any community spirited action you wonder at their sincerity and whether it is worth your effort.  I have had replies from LBE occasionally but generally it is just good to see that the message has been relayed to the correct place ie Council or TfL etc and nice to see the dislodged kerbstone replaced etc.  You can make updates online as well. Reports can be anonymous.  It always irritates me when reporting systems ask for more information about you than about the problem.I expect it cost more to create their system than to use www.fixmystreet.com - which apparently some Councils do.
