What am I to do next.?

Writing to Ealing Council Officers about issues that plague my AREA, isvery frustrating when nothing gets done,even after a promise is made in the presence of residents at a street meeting together with councillorsIt seems that every body thinks the Job to be done is someone else's responsibility. Try contacting any official on the phone number given and you will get an answerphone telling you that the person is not available.and offers you a recorded MENU that denies you the option you really need to record.You may end up listening to a council advertising the glory of something remotely connected to the issue you wish to speak about.Have the council been thinking of taking the phone call by linking it to a premium costing service? I would not-at-all be surprised.Have i gone too  OLD  to be heard?

Is your problem on the Council Report it/Request it pages?(Keep a record of what you say and date etc.) There is a long list of possible options.This website      www.fixmystreet.com    can be very useful to report problems on.Take a look at it.  You can put your postcode in to see what has been reported around you.  Whatever is reported stays in public view.  You can report anonymously - ie don't put your name in if you don't want the information you give to stay in public view accessible by everyone or anyone to know you in particular have complained.

There's lots of info on the council webpages above.  Also look for the portfolio holders to find out who in the cabinet your problems may concern.Are your neighbours having the same problems as you?  Can you join forces to make a stronger case to your Councillors?

Have you nagged your councillors about it? The civil servants don't care; they're not up for re-election.

Neither too old & definitely to be agreed with.If its any comfort this is the same in many different fields, supermarkets - self service tills which refuse £50,halt the sale of alcohol due to under age laws, while a cashier flits between 4 tills.Computers not people, profits all important.Online car insurance as I found to my cost after filling in 101 questions a grey area NOT accepted by a computer.Banks, service machines, ANY field of customer servicewhatever happened to common or garden conversation, peopleskills, customer service??
