Very true. I liked the way they did not need to portray sexual relations in any explicit way. I loved the Edwardian hats - though hat seems an understatement. The era displayed is a world away yet it was only 30 odd years before the film was made, and that is 66 years from the present time. Guinness was masterful in so many roles.In real life Valerie Hobson met with a greater trial than being widowed and finally so nice to see Arthur Lowe before his Captain Manuring fame. We have received a gift of a five DVD set of Ealing comedies and look forward to the others now.
