Cyber-attacks and cyber-security

We are told of the increased risk of cyber-attacks, and the official response is to provide more surveillance, but where is the advice on hardened systems designed to resist attacks?

I think Chris was using the word Cyber in the usual manner meaning security attacks on computer based systems rather than guns and bombs.Jinda thank you for the heads up on the OU course,looks interesting. I shall have a closer look later on.

There is a absolutely fantastic Intro to Cyber Security course on the Open University Web site. It's informative, interesting and bang up to date. It gives some history of the evolution of some of the major Cyber attacks and how the major countries have responded. Fascinating reading. It's a free course and well worth having a look.

probably diffulcult to provide specifics. I assume an attack will be in the form of an explosion or shooting. However sadly & worryingly there are limitless wyas.Back to basics, as in zero tolerance & less pussyfooting from liberal human rights parties, would helpA dog is a dog etc
